Financial Controller - £80k

What you will do:

You, the new Financial Controller, will have the responsibility to ensure that the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for all 7 trading and several non-trading companies. You hold responsibility for all journals and final general ledger balances including the review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and production of statutory accounts. The Financial Controller will oversee the production of the month-end board reports for the US and UK Directors and contribute to budgets and forecasts. The Financial Controller will have accountability for all cashflow and treasury activities, including management of overheads, seeking out areas for improved efficiency and integrate acquisitions and system upgrades.

Your team will include 9 Management Accountants and 20 Shared Service colleagues whom you will lead, develop and motivate.

Required Skills:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Experience in leading a finance team
  • Ability to use foresight and think ahead, anticipating issues before they arise
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP

Preferred Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of IT and MS Office
  • Excellent communication, written and verbally
