Financial Controller - £45,000 DOE

Holmes Chapel, Cheshire

You will be working for a dynamic, modern company who specialise in the construction of residential developments. You will be primarily based at the brand-new office in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. The firm themselves have been very successful in their first 5 years of trading, building on the team's previous knowledge, and they have incredibly ambitious plans moving forward, having also just appointed a new Commercial Director.

What you will do:

You, the new Financial Controller, will oversee the finance function for this incredibly ambitious company, giving you the opportunity to grow substantially along with them; the plan is that you will progress quickly to a Finance Director role and build a Finance Team around you. Your responsibilities will include the bank reconciliations, ledger work, credit control and managing the finance side of the business. The Financial Controller will have full control of the preparation of budgets and forecasts. In this senior role, the Financial Controller will help direct the business and support the management as the company moves forward, having a real input to the future and the commerciality.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient with the use of IT and accounting software
  • Excellent communication, written and verbally
  • Experience with collating and presenting financial data

Preferred Skills:

  • Accounting qualification or degree
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and a motivated approach
  • Previous experience in property / construction industry
