Hypertext Pre-processor, otherwise known as PHP. Now, there are some good PHP developers, and there are bad ones also.. I’m however looking for the best PHP Developer!
Now, do you like an easy job that is unrewarding and where you can’t see your work coming to life? If so then you don’t want to have this role tattooed on your CV for life, then.
As a PHP developer you will need to speak one or two languages (I don’t mean Latin or French) and with a couple different frameworks, if you have used Linux before then I need to see your battle scars on your CV showing PHP, Linux and (My)SQL, as within this role its going to be much like my ex-wife, very busy and surrounded by men..bt they know what they are doing with computer languages.
Your skills will have to include stitching up data issues, moving pesky students in to their accommodation. Then when all hell breaks loose, and someone is halfway through a movie and the internet goes down. YOU will then jump into action like a shot, and reboot the pants out of it..then if that doesn’t work then it’ll have to go down the troubleshooting avenue. As any good PHP developer knows how to do. Then when you this your daily efforts are done..Forget it, you’re then on architecture duties, where the building blocks of PHP really lives!
Developers of the PHP realm need to have a mass amount of initiative, as there is always something to do and to fix, we don’t need ‘’what’s next’’ I need to have already fixed it before its even become an issue, like the developer Jedi that you are! And much like Noah when he was building his arch, I need you to know how long its going to take you to finish any kind of work or project. Like he said, build it and they will come. But only if its finished on time.
Now like the 3 musketeers, you are going to be the D'Artagnan..as there is only 4 members of the team. Which means less Xmas gifts to buy firstly, but it does also mean that the work load can be heavy, so organisation is key!
So, this is where all PHP Developers listen most, as I am offering you the chance to be on between £35,000 - £45,000+, which is a wedge of monies!
You’ll also have to be confident in your skills as there is no kids on this ride, and that means no shadowing. But don’t take that wrong, they are a friendly bunch, which you will have to be too, along with being conversational when you are lost or need help.
If you have got this far and are still reading, then you have past the first test and you might as well apply.
